#1: Made a website that lets you filter through HelloFresh recipes AND recommends recipes with overlapping ingredients

Engagement: 159 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh discusses HelloFresh with positive recommendations and customer satisfaction.

Post Content: I’m a college student and am trying to get into meal prepping/cooking, but I face two main problems. (1) Finding actually good recipes is hard: * So, I use all of Hellofresh's recipes since they are pretty ideal for home chefs, but on their website you can’t filter by what you want.  * On my website you can filter by ingredients you want to use, difficulty, prep time, cuisine, dietary restrictions, and a lot more. (2) Ingredient waste  * I would try out a good recipe, but one of the ingredients would be like chicken broth which I will have a lot left over and goes bad in a week. So I end u...

#2: Question about vegetable substitution

Engagement: 52 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh discusses HelloFresh with positive recommendations and customer satisfaction.

Post Content: I love that HelloFresh allows me to swap out a vegetable if I want, and I'll always swap out green beans for broccoli if I have the option. Even better that they let me do this for free! But is it normal that they still send me the green beans in addition to the extra broccoli? I feel bad throwing out an entire unopened package of green beans. It's such a waste of food and seems like a relatively easy fix to just not send me the green beans I removed from my order. Is this the case for everyone else?

#3: Shepherd's Pie

Engagement: 47 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh discusses HelloFresh in the context of meal kit services.

Post Content: Tried the pub style shepherd's pie last night. I've read on here it's quite well liked. It was okay, not my favorite. I like the shepherd's pie at Cheesecake Factory; I like the one I make myself (I don't use a recipe, just make it up as I go along); have liked ones I've ordered at other restaurants. This one was too sweet and too tomato-pasty. The carrot was enormous and super sweet and that will vary depending on the carrot. The tomato paste was super sweet, too, and just way too much. I wasn't really able to discern any flavor other than tomato paste in the meal. I tend to think of shepher...

#1: Obsessed. It makes life easy.

Engagement: 73 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh expresses concerns about HelloFresh highlighting operational or quality issues.

Post Content: I’m a young woman in my early 20’s and one of the hardest thing I’ve found while trying to manage my life is eating healthy. I hated cooking to begin with because it always made me nervous and when I moved out I couldn’t handle the cost of balanced meals and shopping weekly. **HOWEVER** now, I feel physically better, I’m healthier, happier, my tiredness has dropped away and I’m proud of my new found skill! With these meals I’ve saved time and money, they tend to be large portions for me so I can use the dishes for dinner and have a prepared lunch the next day. I used to be so scared of cooki...

#2: Over it

Engagement: 29 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh expresses concerns about HelloFresh with customers considering cancellation.

Post Content: Every single order I have gotten in the past 2 months has been incorrect with either wrong ingredients, no recipe cards or the wrong ones, and honestly I am very over it. Used to love hello fresh when I lived in Canada but the UK portion sucks. Sadly cancelled as I was spending more money having to go to the market 🤯

#3: Unknown “premium” charges

Engagement: 15 | Subreddit: r/hellofresh

Why This Matters: This post from r/hellofresh expresses concerns about HelloFresh with customers considering cancellation.

Post Content: For a third time I noticed a mystery charge from HelloFresh. I’m meticulous about only selecting meals that are in the plan and don’t have an additional charge to fit in my budget. The first two times I went back and checked over my selected meals and no upgrades were selected but it was under $5 so I thought whatever. But the third time I reached out with CS - first the agent told me that it was because I selected an up charge of adding bacon to a dish which was not true and I shared the screen shots of all the meals picked, then they changed their story and said it was actually because one o...

#1: I love factor

Engagement: 93 | Subreddit: r/factor75

Why This Matters: This post from r/factor75 expresses concerns about Factor75 highlighting operational or quality issues.

Post Content: Hi! I see a lot of negative posts on here, which is probably because people getting these meals that don’t have an issue don’t feel the need to post or ask questions about it. I LOVE cooking, but most days I work from 8am-6pm so the last thing I want to do when I get home is make dinner and wash dishes, let alone pack a lunch in the mornings. Because of that, I was eating out a lot, especially at lunch time. Nowadays, a meal at McDonald’s Wendy’s or taco bell is easily around 10 bucks, not to mention the three or four days a week I was DoorDash my dinner for around 30. I have the 10 meal plan ...

#3: This seems intentional - I get discount emails, but the code is "invalid"

Engagement: 6 | Subreddit: r/mealkits

Why This Matters: This post from r/mealkits expresses concerns about Factor75 with customer dissatisfaction.

Post Content: Just wondering if I'm alone - I skip a lot of weeks, and occasionally I get emails encouraging me to unskip. A few times now I've gotten an offer like "unskip and get 20% off your next boxes" Once I clicked it and ordered and didn't get a discount. I went to support and they wouldn't discount the box I received but I did get discounts on the next boxes. More recently I click these discount offers and when factor loads, there's a message that says "invalid code." Usually I shrug and don't order. Last time I clicked and got "invalid code" I had time to ask the chat what was wrong. After a...
